Homeless Series

I was recently given a special opportunity through Avalon Center to capture the silent hearts of the homeless that live on the streets of Melbourne.

My motive was to encapsulate the raw emotion of these less unfortunate people and share their reality; and hopefully educate others on this growing issue in where we live.

This photo documentary took place over three weeks; where we ventured out to several places in the city and distributed blankets and clothes.

As we handed out jumpers and pairs of shoes, their faces lit up with appreciation and I was able to capture every moment of it.

My overall experience has filled my imagination as a photographer and has inspired me to help further by volunteering regularly at soup kitchens and the Avalon Center.
